WHO AM I?

Hello there player, welcome to my portfolio! I am Joel Bernardes, a Boston-based Game Developer and Computer Science student at Northeastern University's College of Art, Media and Design. As a little kid, I loved playing video games and considered them a cool escape to a world of imagination. So in high school and during my time at Northeastern, I have made it my goal to work hard and become a professional within the industry. My inspiration comes from when I was a kid enjoying video games and being creative, so I want to return that feeling to others the same way games have for me. When developing and coding games, I  think about a couple of things: "How can I be different?". "What do people want to see/experience?", and "What will I learn/take away from this experience?" as I want to provide games that others will enjoy and want while also learning and developing my skills to improve within the industry. In my free time, I like to play video games, tennis, golf, and piano, listen to AJR, and hang out with my friends!
